ILR is in the process of migrating to this website. In anticipation of moving, we have registered a new domain name and will change our Email and website to use the new name.

A canvas of the board members selected the name ILRVB.ORG which was short, easy to remember, and available for registration. When domain name service is settled and lookup becomes reliable in early December, this site will be known as

    https://ilrvb.org or https://www.ilrvb.org

Our former site, will remain active for a few months during transition. and we will receive Email at both oduilr.org and ilrvb.org. All oduilr.org Email user names will function for both domains.

Wild Apricot, our new membership and registration service provider hosts the website and the user membership and registration features are tightly integrated into the website. From your profile, you will be able to review your membership status, renew your membership, register for classes, and more.

The 2018 ILR Art Exhibit has closed after a successful three week run in October. The board and artists extend hearty thanks to Fran Scott for organizing the 2018 Art Exhibit and the  ILR members who made their works available for the show.

The website home page shows those works that were easy to photograph in a slide show. You can see these images at the links below.

ILR has completed application approval for credit card payment processing and the service is configured.

This means credit card processing is live and anybody who enters card details and a payment amount and clicks to pay by card will be making a donation. Thanks!

It also menas that you can register for the first week events to see how the register, review and pay process works. Enabling this process for an event takes a specific combination of event settings that I've recorded for staff in our new "Staff Tips" blog found in the Info menu.

Please feel free to explore the registration process but please don't check out. We'll void out the dangling invoices so we don't contaminate the books when we first transfer funds into Quick Books.

On 1 September, the URL used to reach this site will become

    https://oduilr.wildapricot.org/

This is the first step in the process of ILR branding ILR's Wild Apricot hosted website and membership and registration self-service.

Today, we changed the website theme to improve accessibility by those with dyslexia or color discrimination impairment. Menu and button legends are rendered with more contrast than that provided by the previous color scheme. Please note any readability issues or missed adjustments in the CTC Forum found in the Committee Meetings menu.

Our Wild Apricot site replaces our WordPress website and our ProClass membership and registration service in a single tightly coupled environment. Since most members will want to use online registration and payment, they have site logins and will be coming here quarterly to register for classes and to pick up additional classes.

By having a central subscribed member website, we are able to offer meeting calendars, meeting registration (RSVP), and distribute meeting agendas and minutes on the site. Invitation Emails may be sent to participant groups such as the Board or standing committee members much as we do now with class notifications.

Committee communications are centralized facilitating record retention. Any item can be made publicly visible or restricted to the members at large or defined member groups such as the executive committee and committee chairmen.

The website also maintains a log of approved resolutions and their text. This insures that all board members and committee chairs have access to the actual text of approved resolutions.

CTC changed the theme governing the website's appearance and layout to use earth-tone colors and an elegant but readable font family. The main menu shows the menu pages having sub-pages and sub-pages show the related page in that part of the menu structure.

The Board and Committees members shows upcoming meetings and provide places to publish meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and financial reports.

The Committees section includes a CTC Forum where test participants may discuss topics opened by the CTC chair.

The hope is that these features will reduce the amount of undelivered material and the Email circles that surround many meetings and projects.

CTC is considering a new procedure for migrating to Wild Apricot. The key steps are

    • Delete learning contacts and members
    • Add board members and committee chairs as members
    • Take the account paid
    • Add credit card processing
    • 1 October Swap websites
    • 1 October Allow the public to join
    • 1 October Trial registrations for new members
    • February 2019 Import current ProClass members
    • 1 March 2019 online registration for all members
    • 1 May 2019 renewals via Wild Apricot and Mail-in
  • Sat, July 28, 2018 4:06 PM | Anonymous

In an effort to improve our membership and registration process ILR is evaluating Wild Apricot, a membership and association management tool used by 16.000 clubs and associations. This site is our prototype. It has proven strong at recording membership data unique to ILR's mail-in business model and its online business model is sufficiently flexible that it can represent our Travel sales with their disclosure forms and data forms in addition to representing our classes. Take a look around and have a go at joining online. We will purge the test data before taking the site live.
